Why managing data?
Data that is not managed is without value, or at least, it is impossible to exploit all the potentiality it contains.
An example: you send out a newsletter, so you need names and addresses. If you store these in a good build database you can do much more with your data. E.g. send out a digital version to those with an e-mail-address and a printed one to those without. And you save a lot on your postage expenses. By mail merging this process can be highly automated. You can make selections, e.g. only write to women working in social organizations in state X. Or only to those that have not been in contact with you the last year.

What data system InfoFluxo use?
InfoFluxo has a lot of experience in constructing databases with Microsoft Access. This system has the advantage that as it is part of Microsoft Office, data can be easily exchanged with Word (e.g. for sending personalized letters) or Excel. For data which is used internally, we recommend Microsoft.
But if you want to have your data online, e.g. a form on your website where visitors can register themselves, InfoFluxo suggest to use MySQL in combination with PHP.
