A lot of documents circulate in offices. The best way to store them is as close as possible to those who need to process them. And this process is dynamic, so the documents circulate around in different rooms. After a while nobody knows where each document is stored, so a lot of time is lost searching them.

With this program you register what documents (reports, books, DVD’s, movies, photo-albums, back-ups, among others) circulate around and where these are located. But also non-physical objects like websites or digital-newsletters can be catalogued. By clicking on their web address you open the dedicated webpage. By doing so, the staff can share their knowledge of quality sites.
The program has a location-field where you can type the room-name or even a shelf-name. If a registered document moves to another location, all you have to do is to change the location-field.
Each document/website can have one or several keywords or projects numbers. By searching, all documents with this key will be retrieved.
The staff can register in what subjects they are interested. With a simple mail merge you can send them, e.g. weekly a mail with what documents in their subject where registered.
The program can also register loans. You choose what documents can be loaned and to whom.
The rooms, keywords, staff and loaners are all registered in different tables that are connected to the documents.
The program is written in Microsoft Access and it can be adapted at your special needs.
For whom?
For organizations with a local PC-network. Access (Microsoft) has to be installed on every PC that want access to the "Document management program".
There is no limit on the number of documents that can be registered.
